It definitely blocks sound, but too much of it.

I went with the pair to three concerts by now, but ended up removing them and tolerating the loud sound.The included filters are removing too much of the sound until it damages the music experience... perhaps if your highest priority is to keep your ears safe, without caring about enjoying the music, then you'd love the product.I wish they would have included a much weaker optional filter.

Comfortable and works within motorcycle helmet

I’m quite pleased with these. Haven’t tried at a concert yet but I was able to use these while on the highway and still be able to listen to an audiobook (something I haven’t been able to do with foam earplugs).Lost one star because I did find the insert/wings a bit short as I accidentally push one plug in a bit far while testing and needed tweezers to get it back out.

I go to a lot of shows and also play in a band and always recommend these ear plugs. I usually just always keep them in my pocket since the case is so convenient. The inserts are great for quieter concerts, or when I am playing and want to hear better but the heavy duty inserts are a great option to save my ears.Great documentation on the noise reduction levels on the packaging that I have actually referenced a few times for safety.
